Triple Glazing

What are Triple Glazed Windows?

Triple glazed windows are warmer, quieter and more secure than double glazed windows. At a glance the windows look exactly the same as double glazed windows, but it is what lies beneath that gives the amazing benefits of triple glazing to your home.

Triple glazing and triple glazed windows have been available for a few years now, but are starting to become better known and more popular. As with double glazed windows, triple glazing uses multiple sheets of glass. As the name suggests, triple glazed windows use 3 panes of glass, separated by small gaps filled with argon gas. This mixture of the additional glass layer and the gas space is designed to stop heat from escaping your home, making triple glazing a very energy efficient product for your home.

Why Triple Glazed Windows

A man holding an energy rating graphic

Energy Efficient

Triple glazed windows are great for energy efficiency. The additional glass and argon gas ensure you keep the cold air outside and your heat inside.

Outside Noise

The additional thickness of the triple glazed windows makes a big difference to the amount of sound allowed into your home from outside.

Cold Spots

Triple glazing can help reduce cold spots on your windows. This can be a common occurrence with single glazing and even some double glazed windows.

Replacement Triple Glazed Windows

More and more people are buying replacement triple glazed windows these days. Although double glazed windows do an amazing job at keeping in the heat and keeping the noise out, sometimes you want that little extra more.  Triple Glazing has an additional piece of glass surrounded by Argon gas, which can greatly help improve the sound reduction and energy efficiency of your windows.  These are two of the main factors that are causing more people to make the switch to triple glazing.

Triple Glazed Window Prices

Triple glazed windows are slightly more expensive than the double glazed options. The additional materials used and better end product justify the increased price. FAQ

Triple glazing is made up of three panes of glass, with a small gap between each pane.  In this gap is an Argon gas, which helps keep your windows insulated, making them very energy efficient for your property.

The additional space and pane of glass in these triple glazed windows means they are much more energy efficient than standard glass windows and are ideal for keeping the outside noise to a minimum.

It’s simple. Use our online quote system to fill in your details and we’ll do the rest of the work and get in touch as soon as possible.

Triple glazed windows are not sound proof. This is a myth. They are however exceedingly good for noise reduction and keep an amazing amount of outside noise out of your home. If you are looking for windows to help keep your home nice and quite, then triple glazing is for you.

Triple glazed windows do not look any bigger than standard glazed windows. The extra pane and space has been designed to fill pretty much the same amount of space as a regular double glazed pane. So you not need to worry about having huge, unsightly windows.

The windows are heavier than standard double glazed windows, so it is important to have frames that are prepared for triple glazing to take the additional weight.  Speak to one of our experts for more information on this.
