How to measure for a new door

Measure Doors

For a standard door installation, there are three measurements that you must make. These measurements must be for the space between the brick work including the door, frame and cill. The measurements are:

  • Width – measure the width of the door space at the top, middle, and bottom. Deduct 10mm from the smallest measurement for the result.
  • Height – measure the height of the door space at the centre, left, and right. Deduct 10mm from the smallest measurement for the result.
  • Diagonally – measure both of the door’s diagonals to ensure that the opening is square. The measurements should not be any more than 5mm different.

Once you’ve taken all your measurements, you can input them onto our quote engine to start creating your new composite door.
